Sculpture in Iran
As for the art of sculpture in Iran, it dates back to 5,000 years ago, when the relics had religious aspects and special attention was paid to animal motifs.
Sculpture influenced by Assyrian art during the Achaemenid period is and subtly related to the religious aspect and the chronicle with a naturalistic look.

After Kamal al-Molk, the person who developed the art of sculpture in Iran and was a European graduate, an artist named Abolhassan Siddiqui brought the art of sculpture to Iran very professionally, and after that other masters followed the path of this artist.
Ali Akbar Sanati and Ali Ghahari were among these professors.
These artists limited their sculptures to neoclassicalism, realism, and neorealism.
The art of sculpture has changed a lot since 1960, and artists such as Parviz Tanavoli and Jazeh Tabatabai have tried to revive the national identity of Iran in their works.
Sculptors such as Ghodratollah Memarian and Bahman Mohasses are among the most prolific sculptors of contemporary Iran.
